Ramadan: Beneficial Task #1
Assalamu Allykum, the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) is reported to have said:
"Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should be generous to his neighbour.." (Bukhari)
Out of the many things you can give to your neighbor, you can:
- Make them a gift basket,
- Make them a meal,
- Volunteer to rake the leaves off their yard,
- Water their plants,
- Babysit their children for no charge,
- Invite them for a meal,
- Choose to ignore their shortcomings as a neighbor,
..and several other ways. The key is to be generous with the time, patience, goodness and kindness we direct towards them. The rights of the neighbors have been mentioned several times in the Quran and hadith, proving their importance.
